Well it will hold almost as much power as a stock bottom end, but i dont see it lasting long over 250 whp with slicks
its fine for an NA motor though
I liked mine better than my spec 3 even though the spec 3 held more

Well it's time for an update. I received my KYB's and Performance Driven LLC X High Rate springs. I installed them the other day. I had to make a tool for the nut on top of the strut, so I wrote up a how-to and posted it on the Org. I'll edit this and throw up a link for it. Anyways, after I got the struts installed and everything was torqued up I lowered it to the ground and went to test drive it. Well the car didn't move. Hmmmm? So I got under it and as it turns out I busted the drivers side axle taking it apart/putting it back together. Well it was nine fifteen at night so I wasn't getting another one that night. So the next day I picked one up at CrapoZone and installed it. Then I took it for a test drive. Wow, it handles exactly how I wanted it to. I was slaloming it down the street and started to hear this horrible whine. Well, I got it home and started that investigation. The power steering fluid was a tad low so I added some and bled the system. Well the whine went away. Today I went to get the car aligned and the whine was back. No matter what I did it wouldn't go away. Steering it was a bear so I shut it off and cut the belt off. Well, driving this car without power steering blows ass so I'm gonna have to get a UDP and a new PS Pump here shortly. Damn it. Anyways, that's how it's coming along now.

The steering is fine when I'm moving, it's just parking lot work is a little more difficult. It's been almost a week and I'm slowly getting used to it. If I could run just the A/C, without any sort of p/s components (just loop the lines) I'd settle for it. I don't want to run the idler pulley mod. Anyways, I ordered an OBX long tube so it should be here shortly.

I received and installed the OBX long tube. It's definitely purty. The welds look great, fitment is good, sounds good before I hooked it up. Straight pipe is fucking loud. Install was pretty staight forward. Instead of cutting off the cat I just pulled it out after removing the clamp right after it and put on the adapter that came with the header. I have a leak somewhere and I pretty sure it's at that shitty adapter that they sent so I will eventually get a flexpipe put in. Anyways, April 29th I'm leaving to go to Southwest Asia as a civilian contractor working on Army helicopters. Not sure if I'm going to Kuwait, Asscrackistan, or Iraq as I will find out when I get there. Should be fun.

Time for an update...

Wife was driving the car down the freeway at about 85 mph and the water pump seized in February. I have been deployed so it sat on the side of the house while I collected parts. I came home on leave and have been working on it for almost a week solid. Here's the status now.

Eddie Fiero Ported head, .025 shaved off.
Crower 3/4 Cams
Crower Springs
AEM Cam Gears
OBX Long Tube header
MP 60mm TB
Iceman intake
MPP PCM
MP UDP
JE 10.5:1 Pistons
Eagle Rods
Complete bottom and top end rebuild with above mentioned parts.
I had a box intake manifold built by someone on the .org but it cracked as soon as I torqued it. So, stock intake manifold. Bone Stock
AEM UEGO Wideband
Apexi SAFC Neo

I pulled the engine and did the rebuild myself. Everything was smooth. The cylinders had a crosshatch in them still so I used a cylinder hone on them until they weren't glassy. I measured everything twice. Main bearing plastigauged at .001 and rods at .0025. Oil pressure at hot idle is between 14 and 18. Real tight.

I spent months and months researching and planning this. I wanted it to go smoothly as possible. I had everything, didn't have to go the parts store for anything. Except I completely spaced on the oil. Yeah, motor oil. I put Mobil 1 5w-30 in it like a dumbshit and I don't think the oil rings are seated. It was burning a good bit of oil up. Upon advisement, I drained the Mobil 1 and put some Castrol in it in hopes that the oil control rings will seat. The compression rings have seated for sure, I know this because compression tests showed 235 across all cylinders. I'm tired, I'll finish tomorrow
